Henry – Editor‑in‑Chief

My name is Henry Lawson, and I serve as the Editor-in-Chief of this publication. I have spent the last decade living at the intersection of traditional finance and digital assets, helping readers make sense of a market that never sleeps.

I grew up in Chicago and studied Economics at the University of Chicago, where I first became fascinated by monetary history and game theory. After graduation, I worked as an equity analyst for a New York–based investment firm, covering fintech and payments. In 2016, I fell down the Bitcoin rabbit hole, and by 2017 I was writing full-time about crypto, decentralization, and the future of money.

My core strengths are macro analysis, regulatory developments, and on-chain data. I specialize in connecting the dots between central bank policy, global liquidity, and digital asset cycles, while also following the fine print of new regulations in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. I’ve published research notes for institutional clients, written long-form features for several crypto media outlets, and moderated panels at industry conferences.

I believe good crypto journalism should be skeptical but not cynical, ambitious but grounded in facts and data. Here, my mission is to cut through noise, hype, and jargon to deliver clear, actionable insights for both newcomers and professionals. When I’m not editing or writing, you’ll probably find me reading old central banking reports, walking along the river with a black coffee in hand, or arguing about the future of stablecoins with friends.

If you’re looking for big-picture context, regulatory clarity, and signal in a very noisy market, that’s where I come in.
